I just want a friend

When loneliness doesn’t feel right, you do not want the same kind of life.

Until that moment,
I was doing just fine,
You know, what I mean,
I was enjoying my own company,
I was building the empires of my dreams.

But, I felt really sad,
Really really sad,
Something was just not feeling right,
A tendency to talk,
A propensity to, you know, be there for someone,
Such instinct was just kicking in.

I felt like,
I wish I had some people with me,
I wish just a handful of them surrounded me.

Dear Universe,
I really want a friend,
I do not want many,
Just one would be more than enough for me.

Just one, who will be there waiting for me,
Who will be willing to talk to me,
Whose day won’t start without seeing me!
Someone for whom waiting for me is worth the time,
Someone with whom I can share anything all the time,
Someone with whom, I can talk in any tone,
And someone whose words can be tolerated by me.

I was a warm soul,
Until I was under the influence of the coincidences hitting me twice,
I want to meet that person,
For whom, I can just be the old warm and happy me, and shower with love more than twice.

I want a friend,
Whose call will excite me,
Whose voice will crack me up,
Who will be there enjoying the silence with me,
Who will be there happy to share any kind of news with me,
Who will be there waiting for me,
Who will be there telling me, “Speak up your damn mind, you freak!”
Who won’t be afraid of me,
Who is willing to give me a lot of chances to improve, learn and grow,
Who will understand what I am actually trying to say,
Who will actually stay with me despite all my senseless messages,
Who will scold me, who will love me more than I love myself,
Who will teach me what I actually want to be taught,
Who will show me there is still hope,
And, who will accept me for being me!

I want a friend,
With whom I am all excited,
With whom I can plan holidays,
With whom I can enjoy special occasions, planning, ruining and just making tons of memories.

I am tired of everything,
I even tried being that everything,
But, maybe they did not deserve the friendship that I had offered,
Maybe, I was with the wrong person, wrong group and wrong people,
I just want to have a magic wand where I can just use some of my own made spells and make a miracle appear,
I want to learn, improve and grow with the right person,
Who will hold my hand and cheer me up from the inside,
Who will go against the world just to support me,
Who will actually plan vacations and actually make them happen,
Who will not play dirty games and makes me the villain,
Who will actually show up just without reason,
For whom I can actually be there,
For whom I can never have second thoughts,
For whom I can cheer up,
For whom I can say to others, “Hey, don’t mess up with her!”
For whom I can be strong,
For whom I can learn to love, to express myself without getting depressed.

Dear Universe,
I just want a friend,
I do not want many,
Just one would be more than enough for me,
To cherish,
To love,
To share the moments
And,
To create memories.
